‘Maulana Azad International School’ is located at Azad Nagar, (Near Sale Tax) on NH 31, P.O Kirora, P.S Balrampur, Katihar, Bihar pin 854317. Run by “Azad Foundation” registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882. It is founded by Social Worker, Islamic Scholar, and Well-known personality of the region Mohammad Rizwan Salafi in the year 2015, to bring the education closer to the underprivileged and disadvantaged children of Seemanchal. Eradicating illiteracy & backwardness is the main aim of the institution; and in this venture Mr. Nasiruddin, the Principal has a great contribution towards bringing the education to the doorsteps of the people.

We believe that the initial steps in education begin here. We do this by providing a secure, caring and nurturing environment to enable to develop the desire and passion for learning both now and in the future.

The passion for learning is contagious. We believe that creating the passion for learning is a large part of responsibility shouldered by us. Education is a progressing journey and on this path we at MAIS go hand in hand with student.

Our institution is named after the Indian scholar and independence activist Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. He was not only a great educationist but also the first education minister of Independent India.

Maulan Abul Kalam Azad was an ideologue of Hindu-Muslim unity and rejected all doctrines and dogmas that were based on superstitious and prejudice. Going by this call, the motto and emblem of our institution is ‘Empowerment through Education’

The school provides almost all the basic facilities to the students, such as computer lab, library, physical education, work education, CCTV surveillance, purified water, 24 hours electricity facility, and so on. School has employed the most competent teachers available, so that the students can be given the education at par. It has the facilities of hostel and transportation for the children living at far-off places.
